The Wildcats hosted the Hollywood Hills Spartans on Dec. 8. The Wildcats prevailed 5-4.

Freshman Sebastian Horvath scored the first goal, assisted by a shot from senior Simon Mejia.

The Spartans then scored, getting ahead of the Wildcats by 1 goal. Down 1-2 at halftime, coach Bill Hawley decided to rotate in the substitutes.

Right after the beginning of halftime, junior Brice Johnson scored a header to tie the game 2-2. A few minutes after Johnson’s score, senior Lorenzo Berardi added a goal, bringing the score to 3-2.

Following Berardi’s goal, junior Nick Suarez sent a throw ball down the field to Johnson, who scored his second goal of the game.

Soon senior David Sanchez sent another throw ball to sophomore Hector Martinez who then scored the last goal of the game, ending with a 5-4 Wildcat victory.
